Board Elections 2010 - Further Announcement

At the close of nominations on 1st October 2010, John Haynes was the only validly nominated candidate and was therefore deemed elected for a further 4 year term commencing at the next AGM.

This leaves two unfilled vacancies for Non-Executive (elected) Directors.

While this situation is acceptable within the company articles, the board feels strongly that a full cohort of elected Directors is preferable and would provide England Fencing with a broader range of views and overall stronger governance.

Consequently, the board has decided to take the unusual step of announcing a second election for the remaining Non-Executive posts and we strongly encourage all members who have an interest in developing our sport to consider standing.  Read More for details.
