England Fencing Development Grants |
|
Applications are invited from Clubs, Counties and Regions, for grants to support projects that will develop fencing. Grants up to a maximum of £300 each will be awarded subject to available funds. (For projects requiring a larger grant, consider Sport England Small Grants)
Applications for grants for projects which measurably enhance the links between a local school or School Sport Partnership and a Region, County Union or Club, and/or applications for grants for projects which are directly concerned with coach development, will receive priority. All clubs or coaches benefiting from the grant must be members of England Fencing.
Grants will be decided by an awards panel comprising three members of the England Fencing Executive Board. Applications will be considered in 3 monthly rounds whilst funds allow.
The deadline for the first funding round will be 16th July 2010.

Grants for Clubs, Counties and Regions |
|
England Fencing is undertaking a major four-year development project based on funding from Sport England and in partnership with British Fencing. A major requirement of this project is that England Fencing must match funding provided by Sport England and half of this will be in cash. As a result of this great opportunity England Fencing will not be in a position to support Clubs, Counties or Regions during the first year of the project apart from the small number of clubs that are being targeted. The first year’s funding is a small proportion of the overall total funding that England Fencing may be ultimately granted but is intended to allow us to demonstrate that we can deliver on our first year’s programme. There is a possibility that during subsequent years additional funding will be obtained from other sources so that England Fencing will be able to restore its provision of support to Clubs, Counties or Regions over and above the major development project work. |
