England Veteran Fencing

The board of England Fencing is delighted to welcome England Veterans Fencing as an "associated body".

We look forward to a closer working relationship, and to providing continued support for England Veterans Fencing teams in their competitions.

Our thanks to the chair and committee of EVF for all their work in bringing the two organisations closer together.

2012 Election Results

At the close of nominations there were two candidates for the two vacancies.

We have great pleasure in welcoming Marie Matheson and Allan Skipp to the board of England Fencing Ltd as Non-Executive Directors.

Marie and Allan will formally take post at the AGM on Sunday 18th November and serve until the AGM in 2016.

John Ramsay RIP

It is with great regret that I have to relay the sad news that John Ramsay has passed away.

John was a tremendous servant of the sport, a volunteer for more than 50 years, long time technical director of British Fencing and founding president of England Fencing, a post which he held from the creation of EF to his retirement through ill-health 3 years ago.

John's funeral will be at 2pm on Thursday 31st May, at Ipswich Seven Hill Crematorium. The family have asked if we can give an estimate of the number of likely attendees from the fencing community, so if you plan to go, please email Kim at HeadOffice (@) britishfencing (dot) com or text me on 07887 542670. Kim and I will then pass on a rough idea of numbers to the family.

If you would like an address to send a letter or card of condolence, please use the same contact details as above and we will send you details. The family have asked for family flowers only.
